Helping Foodworks "build a bigger table"
You'll be aware we partner with Foodworks as a supplier for their meals. They are looking to expand their vision with a a new summer campaign which is to create a fairer, healthier and more sustainable food system for Sheffield and South Yorkshire.
The campaign launches in August, centred on Carver Fields (which is Methodist Church owned) in Crosspool, with a plan to transform underused land into a thriving community space where people come together, learn skills and grow food for the local neighbourhood and beyond.
You can see their full announcement here. Food Works were inviting people across Sheffield to get involved in whatever way they can, so as a church, we sent your donations from our August Community lunch to the fund-raiser boosting campaign by £140.
