On valentine's day....choose love

 This Valentines Day, Revd Susan Greenhart shares this beautiful poem - a reminder to choose love 

Choose Love
Choose love when it hurts.
Choose love when life feels unfair.
Choose love when injustice bites.
Choose love when faced with selfishness and greed.
Choose love when cruelty hurls insults at you.
Choose love when the embittered reject you.
Don’t just smile and swallow the hurts, the greed, the bitterness.
Decide how to bring love into the mix.
Choose love: That’s all there is, God knows.
Only you can learn what that means for you –
Not a cheap imitation, that says “yes” when you mean “no”,
But the hard work of determining what love is
In the circumstances before you.
So choose love: That’s all there is –
All that counts.
