Hold the date: Chistmas! (and other activities)
We all know that Christmas is 25th December. It's Jesus' birthday .....so of course we have a service to celebrate (at 10 am).
But there are activities for the whole of December - a period know as Advent (where we consider the significance of the coming of Emmanuel - God with us). We'd love to see you at any of our advent services, our nativity and our famous curry and carols, where you can sing along to a live brass band. All the dates are below:
Sunday 30th, 7th & 14th December : Advent services 9.45 am
Tuesday 9th December: Curry and Carols 7pm
Sunday 14th December: Free community lunch 12 noon
Sunday 21st December: Our nativity 9.45 am
Thursday 25th December: Christmas Day service 10 am
Finally, this year we are focusing our creativity on the Christmas Star. We want to fill our front church wall with stars made, and given, by our members, our users or you! Each star will, we hope, be a prayer or a remembrance of someone close to you. Whenever we are open there will be a craft table for a moment of creativity to then pray for our world and its people. We want to fill our church with love and prayer and it would be amazing if you can take part.
If you have any questions, want to take part or book for curry and carols, please speak to a church member/volunteer or fill in the contact us page.
....and let us be the first to wish you a very Happy Christmas!
